Colorful Colorado Mountain Fall Elopement
Couple weds in private ceremony at top of Beaver Creek Ski Resort
I’m a bit at a loss for the best words here to be honest. Writing this post and starting to put photos together for all my 2020 Sessions and Brides and Grooms, is a bit emotionally overwhelming!! To say it was a “year”, is not only an understatement to most at this point…but also too redundant…and I’m tired of saying it! lol! However, looking back over the year, and all the amazing people that trusted me to document their big moments, even through a Pandemic, is pretty humbling and fills me with huge gratitude and happiness!! I can’t wait to share more Happy moments with you all from 2020….focus on the GOOD!!
In the meantime, I wanted to share with you this amazingly wonderful day that I had the opportunity to be a part of this past Fall. Milana reached out to me a few months before they were going to Elope….which they had originally planned for a far off Destination elopement (thanks COVID…blah)…but they decided they did not want to cancel their Elopement!! So, we worked together, and she totally trusted me to help assist them in finding a gorgeous, intimate, Colorado location that they could still Wed, but have some immediate family there as well! They settled on making a gorgeous weekend at Beaver Creek Resort (near Vail area in Colorado), during the peak Fall Color time, and it ended up being totally PERFECT! It was the last weekend/day of the Chairlift operations, and we were just praying that there would be not crazy wind or weather so that we could ride to the top (such amazing views up there!!), and do their vows on top of the mountain! It worked…and it was an amazingly perfect intimate Elopement on a Colorado Mountain top! (and Chairlift rides are fun!)
Not only was the day gorgeous and so fun to be a part of….I got to spend it with two (and family!) totally hilarious and amazing people!! Milana and Mark welcomed me into their day like I was family…really can’t say it much better than that! Now, Milana was not a total stranger to me though! The cherry on top of this day was that got to see one of my previous brides and grooms!! Milana is the sister of one of my past couples, and we actually met when I photographed their wedding in Mexico a few years back! So, I got to see and hang with another one of my favorite couples as well (and their ridiculously adorable kiddo that I took way too many photos of as well!!). Full Circle people. Can’t ask for better than that! (Check out Jenna & Leroy’s awesome destination Mexico wedding HERE!!)
So there we have it. First blog post fro 2020…and an amazing one to remember! Thank you Mark and Milana for inviting me into your lives and documenting such an important day for you!!
Cheers till next time!!
